PATHOPHYSIOLOGY OF GRIEF 

Grief related stress can lead to high blood pressure, tachycardia, and increased levels of cortisol. It constricts blood vessels. These changes can increase the risk of myocardial infarction. Increased levels of stress lead to catecholamine surge, which increases the platelet aggregation.

The vitiated doshas first affect buddi and smrti which are located in the heart, and then travels to manas through the srota-which may be viewed as a functional circulatory or nervous system, leads to irritability in the manas (mind).

Le patient doit être assis dans une position méditative, la tête et la colonne vertébrale droites, le corps détendu. Le patient doit fermer une narine (par exemple la narine gauche s'il utilise la main droite et vice versa) avec le pouce et expirer complètement par l'autre narine. Il devra à nouveau inspirer profondément par l'autre narine tout en continuant à fermer la narine opposée avec le pouce.
