PATHOPHYSIOLOGY OF FOLLICULITIS

The microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi affect the hair follicles leads to inflammation of the follicles followed by the formation of small itchy pustules.

Folliculitis is diagnosed by the proper inspection of the site.

  • Wash hair with a mild shampoo.
  • Oil massage on the head before shampooing
  • Application of apple cider on the skin
  • Massage with coconut oil

DIET AND BEHAVIOUR FOR FOLLICULITIS

  • Avoid food items which produce dosha imbalance like cold, acrid, sour and dry food, hard to digest. Because dosha imbalance aggravates the symptoms.
  • Intake of proper amounts of fluids
  • Combs and towels are not shared with others

YOGA FOR FOLLICULITIS

  • Nadi shuddi pranayam – calms the mind and gets relief from recurrence of Folliculitis

 

Le patient doit être assis dans une position méditative, la tête et la colonne vertébrale droites, le corps détendu. Le patient doit fermer une narine (par exemple la narine gauche s'il utilise la main droite et vice versa) avec le pouce et expirer complètement par l'autre narine. Il devra à nouveau inspirer profondément par l'autre narine tout en continuant à fermer la narine opposée avec le pouce.
