Extrasístoles - Tratamiento Ayurvédico, Dieta, Ejercicios, Trabajos de Investigación, Yoga & Pranayama

Extra heartbeats known as premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) start in one of the heart’s two ventricles, the lower pumping chambers. These extra beats throw off the normal heart rhythm, which can occasionally give the chest the sensation of fluttering or skipping beats.

An extremely prevalent type of abnormal heartbeat (arrhythmia) is premature ventricular contraction. PVCs are also known as

Premature ventricular complexes

Ventricular premature beats

Ventricular extrasystoles

People without cardiac disease who occasionally experience premature ventricular contractions are typically unaffected and don’t require therapy. If the premature ventricular contractions are severe or uncomfortable, or if a cardiac problem is underlying, you may require therapy.

Síntomas

Many times, there are no symptoms at all from premature ventricular contractions. However, the additional beats can result in odd chest sensations like:

Fluttering

jumping or pounding

omitted or skipped beats

Heartbeat awareness is more acute

Causas

There are several drugs that might produce premature ventricular contractions, including decongestants and antihistamines.

abuse of drugs or alcohol

stimulants like tobacco or coffee

elevated quantities of adrenaline brought on by anxiety or exertion

disease-related cardiac muscle injury

Fisiopatología

Extrasystoles or tachyarrhythmias can cause the feeling of palpitations. Due to bradycardia, it is very infrequently noticed. Numerous terms can be used to describe palpitations. Most frequently, people describe a fluttering or pounding sensation in the neck or a flip-flopping sensation in the chest. The symptoms’ description may give insight into the cause of the palpitations, and each of these descriptions is thought to have a unique pathophysiology.  The palpitations are thought to be brought on by additional systoles, such as supraventricular or ventricular premature contractions, in patients who report them as a momentary flip-flopping in the chest. It is believed that the powerful contraction that follows the pause causes the flip-flop sensation, and that the pause causes the feeling that the heart has stopped. It is believed that a persistent ventricular or supraventricular arrhythmia causes the impression of rapid fluttering in the chest. Furthermore, a paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia may be the cause of this arrhythmia’s abrupt cessation.  If the patient can use Valsalva manoeuvres to stop the palpitations, this is further encouraged. The palpitations’ rhythm can help determine their cause; for example, irregularly irregular palpitations can point to atrial fibrillation as the cause. Atrioventricular dissociation, which results in the atria contracting in opposition to closed mitral and tricuspid valves to produce cannon A waves, can cause an erratic hammering in the neck.  Exercise-induced palpitations may be indicative of channelopathies, ischemia, or cardiomyopathy.

Pronóstico

PVCs should notify the clinician of any coexisting heart illness, which may call for extra clinical evaluation or treatment. PVCs are linked to higher mortality in persons without a history of heart illness.

Complicaciones

Premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) may raise the chance of developing abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias) or weakening of the heart muscle (cardiomyopathy) if they occur frequently or in certain patterns.

Rarely, repeated premature contractions can result in unpredictable, risky heart rhythms and possibly abrupt cardiac death when they are accompanied by heart disease.

Extrasystole (premature ventricular contraction in ayurveda)

There is not a single illness that Ayurveda refers to as palpitations. Because Vaata is prone to irregularity, Vaata dosha dysfunction can be the cause of it. Hrud drava is the phrase used by Vaataja nanathmaja vikaara to describe palpitations.

The transport of Vaata becomes erratic as a result of either channel constriction or tissue depletion. The indications and symptoms are caused by the regular Vaayu functions being interrupted in this way and becoming lodged in the hrudaya.

The cause of Vaatakopa and any accompanying doshas will determine the best course of Ayurvedic treatment for palpitations. The initial step should be to remove the body’s accumulated toxic metabolic waste (Aama), which can become vitiated Vaata if channels become blocked or if Kapha is the linked vitiated dosha. It can be accomplished by body-lightening and drying up techniques like: Lepanam with Rookshana dravyas across chest

Swedanam

Langan

Samana

Only modest Aamapaachana, together with a few medications or dietary changes, will be effective if the Vaatakopa is caused by degeneration and the Vaata-Pitta doshas are aggravated. In this situation, snehana swedana sodhana panchakarma treatment followed by bruhana will be more beneficial.

Daivavyapasraya and Sattwavajaya Chikitsa are equally crucial to treating palpitations as Yuktivyapasraya Chikitsa.

Remedios caseros

Avoiding the triggers that bring on the symptoms is the best home remedy for palpitations.

Be less stressed. Consider doing yoga, deep breathing, or other relaxing activities.

Don’t use stimulants. Your heartbeat may become rapid or erratic if you use caffeine, nicotine, some cold medications, or energy drinks.

Don’t use illicit substances. Heart palpitations can be caused by some substances, including cocaine and amphetamines.

Dieta

A evitar

Indigestion is caused by heavy meals and foods that are difficult to digest.

Junk foods: interfere with digestion and decrease the medicine’s bioavailability

Carbonated beverages: increase stomach acidity and disrupt digestion

Foods that have been refrigerated or frozen impair digestion by weakening (digestive fire) Agni

Milk and milk-derived items raise kapha and block channels.

Cuajada – causes vidaaha, which leads to a number of other disorders to be included

Light meals and foods that are simple to digest

soups, fresh fruits and veggies, green gramme,

Warm, freshly prepared meal that has been treated with ajwain, black pepper, ginger, and cumin seeds

Behaviour:

Defend yourself against the bitter cold.

It is better to stay out of the sun, wind, rain, and dust.

Maintain a consistent eating and sleeping regimen.

Avoid suppressing or repressing desires to urinate, poop, cough, sneeze, etc.

Don’t lead a sedentary lifestyle. Take action.

Avoid emotional storms and stress.

Yoga

Up to a point, regular stretching and light cardio workouts are indicated. In order to manage Vaatadosha in its first phases, particular yogacharya such as naadisuddhi pranayama, bhujangaasana, and pavanamuktasana are also advised.

Regular exercise promotes good health and increases the bioavailability of food and medication consumed.

Yoga can preserve equilibrium in the body and with the environment.

Pavanamuktasana

Nadisudhi pranayama

Bhujangasana

Simple cardiovascular and lung exercises

Only under the direction of a medical professional should any exercises or physical activity be chosen and carried out.
