Chandrakala ras is an Ayurvedic medicine used in the treatment of Diabetes and its associated complications. . This tablet contains mineral ingredients along with herbs. This medicine should only take as per the direction of the physician.

METHOD OF PREPARATION

1part each of above drugs triturated with decoction of guduchi ( Tinospora cordifolia), salmali (Salmalia malabarica) , honey and finally tablets are made.

  • Detoxification of mercury– Ground with juice of Aloe vera, Triphala (Terminalia chebula, Terminalia bellerica, Emblica officinalis),root of chitraka (Plumbago zeylanica) each for 7 days.

Purified mercury then processed with gandhaka (sulphur) to prepare parada bhasma (rasasindura)

  • Purification of loha ,vanga-  Heated and immersed in sesame oil, buttermilk, cow’s urine, gruel and decoction of kulatha (Dolichos biflorus) in that order for seven days in each liquid.

DOSHA- DUSHYA PREDOMINANCE AND ROGA MARGA

  •  Dosha – This medicine is recommended for the treatment of all vata- pitta – kapha predominant diseases.
  • Dushya- useful in diseases affecting rakta, mamsa ,asthi ,majja dhatu – neuropathy
  • Roga marga – Useful in diseases affecting Madhyama roga marga (marma asthi sandhigata) like diabetes.

DOSAGE AND USAGE

1 – 2 tablets once or twice a day after food along with honey or as directed by an Ayurveda physician.

EXERCISES AND YOGA

Nadi Shuddi Pranayam    – for getting calmness to the mind provide overall health 

Der Patient muss in einer meditativen Haltung mit aufrechtem Kopf und aufrechter Wirbelsäule sitzen, wobei der Körper entspannt ist. Der Patient muss ein Nasenloch (z. B. das linke Nasenloch, wenn er die rechte Hand benutzt und umgekehrt) mit dem Daumen verschließen und durch das andere Nasenloch vollständig ausatmen. Wiederum muss er durch das andere Nasenloch tief einatmen, während das gegenüberliegende Nasenloch noch mit dem Daumen verschlossen ist.   

      RECOMMENDED DIET AND BEHAVIOUR

  • Avoid food items that produce dosha imbalance like cold, more acrid, sour and dry food, hard to digest. Because dosha imbalance aggravates the symptoms.
  • Consume easily digestible food items, cow’s milk.
  • Avoid sugar-containing diets in patients with diabetes.
  • Avoid heavy exercises which further aggravate degenerated conditions.    

SIDE EFFECTS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • This medicine should only take as per the direction of the physician.
  • It is better to avoid by children, lactating women, and during pregnancy
