  • Colonoscopy is the ‘gold standard’ method of detecting intra-luminal colonic lesions.
  • Computed tomographic colonography
  • Magnetic resonance colonography (MRC)
  • Faecal DNA and antigen testing

·       Endoscopic forceps polypectomy

·       Endoscopic snare polypectomy is the preferred way to remove a polyp

·       Endoscopic submucosal dissection – (ESD) is a technique for resecting sessile polyps that are not amenable to snare polypectomy.
